On 20 March 2026, CHEC and the Western Cape Government convened the HE on Trial Kick-Off Summit — a courtroom-style examination of higher education's future, bringing together policymakers, academics, industry leaders and civil society.
These strategic areas are underpinned by the Compact to Facilitate Regional Cooperation in Higher Education in the Western Cape (December 2001).
